Who we are

The BCPS Employees for Freedom Society is a volunteer-run, registered not-for-profit society in the Province of British Columbia, Canada.

UNITED WE STAND.

We are a diverse group of public servants who stand together for medical privacy and bodily autonomy to protect our colleagues, families, the communities we serve and future generations. We believe in defending ourselves and others against medical coercion and discrimination. We champion understanding, inclusivity and freedom of choice.

BCPS Employees for Freedom is a registered not-for-profit society in the Province of British Columbia. Our members are primarily public service employees of provincial government ministries, central agencies, crown corporations, boards, commissions, tribunals, offices or organizations, and also include employees of municipal and federal government organizations and publicly funded non-governmental organizations. We are vaccinated and unvaccinated, union and non-union, management and staff, new employees and veteran professionals, currently active as well as retired. We serve the public in every domain the provincial government is responsible for, including:

  • education and healthcare;
  • children and family services;
  • the environment and Indigenous relations;
  • economic and social development;
  • transportation, infrastructure and agriculture;
  • energy and natural resources;
  • public safety and the administration of justice;
  • and more

Our Mission

As B.C. public servants we are committed to upholding the rights of all peoples, as protected by the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. We are profoundly concerned by the implementation of mandatory proof of vaccination policies in our workplaces, the violation of employees’ medical privacy and human rights, and the associated coercion, discrimination and censorship of employees by public sector employers.

These infringements on the rights and freedoms of workers are grave threats to our democracy and the livelihood of all Canadians. Medical coercion and the violation of human rights are contrary to public service values.

We invite everyone who supports our cause to join with us to protect and advance the rights and freedoms of all British Columbians.

Disclaimer

We are public servants and volunteers. We are not lawyers or medical doctors and are not providing legal or medical advice. We exist because we want to help our fellow public servants understand their legal rights. We are stronger together and are dedicated to defending the rights and freedoms of all.
